Greetings fellow A-Zers. U stands for umbrellas, like those I found on a balcony
in Hong Kong (above), and in Tokyo’s Ueno Market (below).

What People Are Saying …

Very cute. They look a little bit like parasols, don’t they?
they do!!! thanks for checking it out myra!
your HONG KONG balcony:
the row of umbrellas on the balcony in Hong Kong is amusing:
what are they doing behind – is the upcoming question …
Was thinking the same thing
thanks for stopping by again, madhu. mysterious, eh?
that’s what i was thinking when i took that shot. the weather had been great at that time with no rain, and that balcony is part of a dim sum restaurant, so there was no reason for those umbrellas to be displayed so prominently.
This reminded me of a song that my wife plays in the car ALL THE TIME.
hey drew … cool!!! i had never heard (seen) this cool acoustic version of the XTC classic! “what can i say when i’m handed the keys to a town called misery?”
Intriguing use of Umbrellas in the top shot. I agree with Myra – you could probably have put the pink ones in the P challenge as Parasols
hi, and thanks for checking out, mr. finchley. yes, i didn’t think of that at the time. you know how it is … sometimes i get lost in my archives!!!
