Here in San Francisco, we don’t have seasons per se; the weather’s pretty temperate. But when the red and green lights come up on City Hall, and the tree is lit in Civic Center Plaza, then we know it’s Christmas season once again!

Wow, that’s pretty cool.
Hi there, and thanks for stopping by! yah, it’s pretty cool!
Same with Singapore! Except the decorations come up immediately after Halloween.
Hey there, Drew. Here in SF, the city at least waits until the weekend before Thanksgiving (Nov. 24) to do up the big city displays like this one at City Hall, but this year the retailers were fully decorated the week before Halloween. I think I saw my first Christmas themed TV commercial in late October. Every year it gets earlier.
BEAUTIFUL AND FESTIVE!
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
How gorgeously gaudy! And I guess a celebration is a celebration, anywhere!
Indeed it is, especially at this time of year.
Wonderful with the red and green … fantastic photo … this is Christmas for me – the cities Christmas lights. .
Vivieka … agreed! Other people can have their countrified Christmas, but give me a big city. Love how exciting, colorful and vibrant cities become at the holidays!
Oh how I love EVERYTHING the Holiday season entails, and that’s quite a fancy way of decorating your City Hall! From the lights to the festivities to the holidays! It’s absolutely my favorite time of the year, especially here in NYC!
Hello Antoinette … and happy holidays to you! Absolutely agreed. I love EVERYTHING about Christmas. I love how vibrant, colorful and alive cities become at Christmas. I visited NYC in December about five years ago, and whereas we here in SF do it up nicely, no one does Christmas like New York!
Now I am definitely in the spirit of Christmas!! Absolutely beautiful Stephen. Love all the colours!
hehe … awesome! glad I could deliver some holiday cheers your way, Judy. look for a big ol’ “San Francisco at Christmas” photo gallery coming soon!
Pretty colors!
Hi there, and thanks for stopping by.
Just another excellent Christmas here in the city by the bay!
Love the colors!
Hi Ioanna … it really says Christmas, eh?
Beautiful red and green lights reflecting on the magnificent building. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
right back at ya, island traveler! here’s to much holiday cheer!
Hey Paula. I grew up in Philadelphia, and I have to say I don’t miss those winters at all. We’re actually going through a bit of a cold spell right now … daytime highs of low 50s. That’s what we consider cold. But today we had a pissy, misty rain, so we still get glimpses of “winter.”
Do you like taking pics in a pissy weather?
Well, I wear glasses, and after ten minutes out in the rain I can’t see nothin’. And in anticipation of the inevitable follow-up question I usually get, I just can’t used to contacts.
Then the only thing you can do is to wait for rain to go away… sky gets really nice right after the rain
