Hello fellow A-Z Archive Challengers! It looks like the “I’s” have it this week. I generally only post one image in these challenges, but this week I flip-flopped between two that I felt effectively convey the interpretation, so I’m posting them both.
Here’s an image of two glasses of ice water, taken in a Thai restaurant on Irving Street in San Francisco.
And the pic below was taken last year at a salute to the 80’s exhibit at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, Australia in a section devoted to hometown heroes INXS. That’s Tim Farris’ Fender Stratocaster guitar, Jon Farris’ drums and Kirk Pengilly’s saxophone in the background, so I suppose this could also go under Instruments. Long live INXS!!!
Wow, beautiful photos! I am a WordPress photographer too, so I just love posts like this. Great job, and keep it up!
Thanks so much for your kind words, Aaron! I just launched my blog about a month ago, and the thing I like the best about it are these very cool photo challenges … oh, and building a fun network of cool, creative people!
Got some INXS in the record collection – good stuff 🙂 Like the iced water too.
thanks! long time INXS fan here, so I felt I had to give a shout out to one of my favorite bands ever.
Great one! And I also like INXS music!
thank you, fergiemoto! nice to meet a fellow INXS fan!

Great choice…I could use a glass of that Ice Water right about now…
Hi Jeanne, and thanks! I know … looks refreshing, don’t they?

I am disappointed they didn’t display Tim’s guitar with the Yosemite Sam sticker. Tim and I bonded over that sticker when I met them in ’83. I told Tim he needed Taz instead.
Hi! Thanks for checking out my pic. Wow … interesting story.
Love it!
Thanks Judy!!!
The ice water looks so very, very pure, almost to pure to drink! INXS I’m not familiar with. What do they mostly play?
Sorry, that should be “too pure to drink”! Lost one of my “o’s” in admiration.
Hi Victoria … I took the shot of the water in a Thai restaurant. I was amazed how the harsh, noontime sun made the water glow and the really long shadows it cast.
INXS is an Australian rock band who had many international hits in the mid-to-late-80s. Some of the more well-known songs include “Devil Inside”, “Need You Tonight”, “New Sensation”, “What You Need”, and “Never Tear Us Apart.” They are one of my favorite bands, mixing rock, ska, pop and dance sensibilities for a really unique sound.
