Beautiful composition!
Thanks, Angeline. Taken during my recent trip to Sydney at a retrospective of 50 years of the Royal Australian Ballet.
Nice interpretation and quote, Stephen. I’m in a quiet sort of mood today and this was perfect for me soul. I saw one of the Degas original “Dancer” sculptures at a museum in London. It was stunning – art up close and personal is always so much more stunning than images of the art.
Hi Pat! Knowing I made your day really made mine! I actually took this pic during my recent trip to Sydney at a salute to 50 years of the Royal Australian Ballet at the Sydney library.
Lovely – love the juxtaposition. Nicely done.
Hi Tina, and thanks for visiting. Cool … glad you liked it.
I love the Nietzsche quote, along with the juxtaposed images. 🙂
Thanks! I thought the quote worked well with image. Glad you liked!
A beautiful, beautiful shot Stephen! Love the quote too 🙂
Hello Madhu … hope all is well. Thanks for that! Glad you liked!
Love the quote
Thanks, TBM!
Superb! 🙂
thanks, restlessjo! ‘ppreciate that!
Beating the gravity 🙂 Superb quote, Stephen! Are you a fan of ballet? A beautiful picture featuring grace and lightness!
Thanks, Paula! As you know, I like many art forms, but I consider dance to be the ultimate form of expression. To be able to express emotion and feelings through form and motion just amazes me. No instruments, no written word, just the human body. That kind of blows me away.
… and, no, I am not a dancer by any stretch of the imagination … it has something to do with being tragically born with two left feet.
🙂 I can understand that 🙂
