The warm, dusky earthtones of both the kangaroo and its surrounding environment make this scene at Sydney’s Wildlife World look downright parched! Temps in the 90’s helped ramp up the arid, Outback-like effect. Gimme some water!!!

Fabulous shot. Looks like Kanga was keeping a close eye on you. 🙂
Thanks, Sue … and I appreciate your visit.
Yah, he was having none of the stranger with the camera. It was just too hot for that kind of hassle!
Love how she blends right in with her environment.
Hi Jackie … look quickly and you might not even see her!

Fab shot! The denuded palm behind the kangaroo says it all 🙂
Hi Madhu … just looking at this pic makes me thirsty for a big glass of cold water!
This is dry – dry … even the poor kangaroo had enough. Get thirsty looking at this photo. *smile – excellent shot.
hehe … i know … that poor roo looks like he’s had just about enough of the heat and of me taking his pic!
Yes, he looked a bit moody. *smile
that is very dry
dry as a bone, jo!
Just got to be Australia for this theme, Did you see many kangaroos in the wild? They are suffering in the outback drought at the moment.
yes, i did, but they didn’t seem to mind the heat too much. i notice that they can be really good at just laying around, conserving energy!
😀 I have never seen a live kangaroo. This is a nice shot. Have you tasted it cooked?
