I’ve got an irrational fear of heights. I’d never be able to take a shot like that, because my arms can’t reach while my back is pressed firmly against the wall. Especially when the railing only goes up to your waist!
hey drew … same here, but in this case I toughed it out because I knew it would be a killer shot. in my case, i get this sickening feeling in my stomach, and my hamstrings and calves alternate between stiffening up and getting all rubbery.
Haahaha I get that feeling in my stomach too, but not that hamstring and calves problem.
I bet you wound the camera’s shoulder strap tightly around your wrist!

I’m not a great fan of leaning over balconies – although I don’t suffer from vertigo. I’d probably be worrying more about dropping the camera. Heights are generally ok – it’s ladders I don’t like!
