A-Z Challenge: The Letter D: Don’t (Fence Me In)

These two are not at all happy about being fenced in at the recent SF Dogfest,
especially when all their pals are allowed to run free and play.

Will you just look at that pleading in the eyes of the white dog! Poor baby!!

You captured the perfect expression! I can already hear the whinging and hiew-hiewing. Poor doggies! My dog has the same expression when he’s at the gate watching other dogs outside going on their walks. Actually, he does that too when he wants to get onto our bed, or when he wants food.

For a dog that’s really well-loved and pampered, he’s still able to channel the “saddest dog in the world” vibe really well.

    • Drew, what you’re witnessing here is a blatant pity grab, and yes, it was accompanied by much whining and hiew-hiewing! The pen this guy was in was as big as football field, and he had plenty of room to run (and friends to run with). His owner told me he has a habit of high-tailing it if he gets out, especially if there are other dogs around. Since this was Dogfest, there were a LOT of other dogs around.

I know, no matter how much love you shower them with, they’re always quick to lay the “saddest dog in the world” routine on ya!

    • Well, Ioanna, thank you for this excellent honor! It’s really nice to know that people are enjoying my blog. My goal when I started was to just put together that would be fun, that would celebrate creativity! So again, thank you so much!
